Journal Prompt #2

Last week's question was about your personal fall memories from childhood. Now, think forward 30 years to how you want your own children to remember fall as a child. Write down some ideas and then think of a way to implement the easiest idea!

  1. I guess my hopes for my child remembering Fall aren't grandiose or ambitious at all. Living out in Washington, we don't have any relatives here to share holidays with. I hope my son and (soon coming daughter) will remember being safe, healthy, and having "enough." I hope they will remember having a few good friends to play with and look back at the efforts of their parents to make the holidays special with appreciation. I hope they will have seen Mom and Dad model generosity and hospitality to others. Beyond that, I hope they will have enjoyed a few special outings over the years to farms, zoos, and parks where we try to enjoy the outdoors when it's not raining.
